Amy’s journey with Core Schedule began in August 2023, when she joined us as a SaaS Onboarding Specialist. Even before that, she was a valued Core Schedule admin at Hutt Valley Hospital starting January 2022. Her hands-on experience in the healthcare environment has given her deep insight into the challenges and opportunities of workforce scheduling.

In her role as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Coordinator at a public hospital in the Hutt Valley, she managed operations behind the scenes, coordinating junior doctors across departments from the Emergency Department to Medical. Her strong track record with our RMO Unit customers and her work rolling out the Core Allocation module have uniquely positioned her to enhance our solutions within that cohort.

In her new role as Solution Specialist, Amy will be instrumental in:

• Solution Implementation & Configuration: Analysing client requirements and tailoring our system to meet diverse needs.
  Customer Support & Training: Providing comprehensive training and support to ensure seamless onboarding.
  Product Expertise & Optimisation: Keeping up with product updates and advising clients on best practices.

• Provide Professional Services and Consulting: Work with customer sites that require extensive support, guidance and recommendations on best-practice staff scheduling workflows and processes.

Having crossed paths with Joe at industry conferences and through our shared network of partners, we’re thrilled to have him officially join Core Schedule. His deep understanding of the healthcare workforce landscape, combined with his proven track record in business development and relationship management, will be invaluable as we continue to scale.

Joe’s Background

Joe has spent the past few years in healthcare recruitment, most recently as a Senior Locum Recruitment Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Ochre Recruitment. There, he worked closely with doctors across Australia and New Zealand, placing top-tier professionals in hospitals. His experience also includes roles at Sanctuary Recruitment, Blugibbon, and various ambassadorial positions supporting mental health initiatives.

Originally from the UK, Joe has called Australia home for over 20 years and is currently based in Sydney with his wife, son, and their dogs.

Cormac currently serves as an Investment Manager at Punakaiki Fund, where he supports innovative Kiwi businesses in accessing growth capital. His prior experience includes playing a pivotal role at Snowball Effect raising capital for New Zealand companies.

Before moving into investment, Cormac built a strong foundation in engineering and project management. He has worked on diverse projects, from carbon fibre structural design at a global consultancy to project management at Rocket Lab, where he helped deliver their cutting-edge manufacturing facilities.

A University of Canterbury graduate with a BE(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Cormac also has a remarkable personal journey. After university, he sailed around the world aboard superyachts, fostering his passion for the ocean—a passion he continues today, often in the company of his energetic Australian Shepherd.

Beyond his professional accolades, Cormac has represented New Zealand on the international stage as part of the Stand Up Paddle Board Team, earning a third-place finish at the ISA SUP and Prone Paddle World Championships.

Key updates and enhancements related to Pages occurred throughout the year, including adding special dates and improving functionality like filtering shifts by area and integrating with Med App.
• Shift & Schedule Management: We enhanced the Shift Market with new “trade in progress” indicators, improving handovers between staff. Additionally, Reassign Shifts & Session Assignments allow entire sessions to be moved at once, cutting down on double-handling. With Public Holidays Integration, we’ve eliminated manual entries, making scheduling easier than ever.
• Mobile-Friendly Grid View: Staff in the field can now quickly access schedules and make adjustments from anywhere, ensuring greater flexibility and efficiency.
• SuperStats Enhancements: Enhanced features allow for seamless tracking of variances and holidays, making it easier to monitor schedules and reduce guesswork.
