Amy led a half-day training session with the team, focused on tips and tricks, new features, and ways to maximise Core Schedule’s tools across their practices.

PEHA has been a valued Core Schedule client since 2020, and over the years, they’ve expanded their use of the platform—bringing more of their sites onto Core Schedule. This continued adoption is a testament to the ongoing benefits and positive outcomes they’ve achieved through improved rostering efficiency, visibility, and team collaboration.

Core Schedule’s CEO and Founder, Dr Stephen Pool, and Chief Customer Officer, Candice Togia, were honoured to represent New Zealand as part of the NZTE HealthTech Trade Delegation in Perth earlier this week.

The two-day program brought together leaders from across New Zealand’s health technology sector to strengthen connections with Western Australian health and aged care organisations, explore collaboration opportunities, and share innovations transforming healthcare delivery. Core Schedule is the leading physician rostering system across WACHS, and they have been loyal customers since 2017.

 

Day 1 featured a networking event hosted by New Zealand Consul-General Bella Katz, connecting NZ HealthTech innovators with WA government, hospital, and industry representatives at The Globe, Perth.

Day 2 included a packed agenda led by Robert Milsom, Health & MedTech Sector Lead, NZTE, featuring visits to:

 

• • Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for a briefing with Invest & Trade WA
    

• • Royal Perth Hospital’s East Metropolitan Health Service HIVE (current Core Schedule customer) — a hub for digital health innovation

• • WA Country Health Service (WACHS) (current Core Schedule customer) — where discussions centred around regional healthcare delivery and workforce management

• • Brightwater Aged Care Innovation Centre, combining a working lunch and site tour highlighting cutting-edge aged care technology

• • SMHS Health Ready and Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, showcasing innovation in hospital and research ecosystems

Stephen and Candice shared insights into Core Schedule’s digital workforce management platform, and how it supports hospitals and healthcare systems to improve operational efficiency, workforce wellbeing, and patient care outcomes.

Over three days, Chief Customer Officer, Candice Togia, and Business Development Manager, Joe Smith, visited hospitals in Hobart, Launceston, and Burnie. The roadshow provided an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, showcase new features, and gather firsthand insights from clinicians and administrators about their rostering challenges and needs.

Alongside these valuable healthcare conversations, the team also took the chance to experience some of Tasmania’s local highlights. From wandering the famous Salamanca Markets, to visiting the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, and indulging in sweet treats at Anvers Chocolate Factory, it was a wonderful way to connect with the culture and community that surrounds the hospitals we serve.

It was inspiring to engage with such dedicated healthcare professionals across Tasmania. The conversations reinforced the importance of efficient, flexible, and clinician-friendly rostering tools in supporting patient care and team wellbeing.

A big thank you to all the staff who welcomed us into their departments this week. We’re looking forward to continuing these conversations and helping Tasmanian health teams make rostering easier.
