We’re excited to welcome Joe Smith to the Core Schedule team as our new Business Development Manager (BDM)! 🎉
Joe brings a wealth of experience across SaaS, healthcare recruitment, and advertising/marketing, making him a fantastic addition to our growing team. In his role, he’ll be focused on driving new business opportunities, expanding our customer base, and strengthening relationships within the healthcare sector.
Having crossed paths with Joe at industry conferences and through our shared network of partners, we’re thrilled to have him officially join Core Schedule. His deep understanding of the healthcare workforce landscape, combined with his proven track record in business development and relationship management, will be invaluable as we continue to scale.
Joe’s Background
Joe has spent the past few years in healthcare recruitment, most recently as a Senior Locum Recruitment Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Ochre Recruitment. There, he worked closely with doctors across Australia and New Zealand, placing top-tier professionals in hospitals. His experience also includes roles at Sanctuary Recruitment, Blugibbon, and various ambassadorial positions supporting mental health initiatives.
Originally from the UK, Joe has called Australia home for over 20 years and is currently based in Sydney with his wife, son, and their dogs.

🌿 Avid hiker – His favourite trek is the Grand Canyon Loop in the Blue Mountains.
⚽ Die-hard Glasgow Celtic supporter – You’ll often find him passionately following their matches.

✈️ A keen traveller – He’s visited Iceland’s Blue Lagoon, gone on safari in Kenya, and even experienced Cuba when Fidel Castro was still in power!
Joe is in Wellington this week at our HQ for onboarding, and we’re excited for him to hit the ground running!
